On November 23 (2:00 PM – 3:30 PM) at the University of Porto, the INFINITY project will be on stage at the 12th Linked Pasts Symposium with a hands-on workshop designed to model multiperspective cultural heritage.
Inside the workshop: hands-on Multidimensional Modeling
At the 12th Linked Pasts Symposium at the University of Porto, we are opening up our semantic pipeline to researchers, digital humanists, and memory institutions.
Our interactive session, “Multidimensional Knowledge Graphs: Modelling the Contextual Validity of Statements about the Past” offers a hands-on testbed for participants:
Session Timing: November 23, 2:00 PM – 3:30 PM
Venue: University of Porto, Porto, Portugal (Part of the 12th Linked Pasts Symposium)
Access: Event registration is completely free! REGISTER HERE
INFINITY is building a multidimensional knowledge hub for digital cultural heritage, with the aim of allowing institutions to preserve the contextual interpretations attached to their objects rather than flattening them into a single authoritative record, and of feeding the resulting model into the European Collaborative Cloud for Cultural Heritage (ECCCH) and DS4CH.
The session will be hands-on: participants model contested statements, from given examples or from their own collections or research then query one perspective. We will discuss which dimensions the community needs; how perspective vocabularies could be shared across projects; graceful degradation for context-blind aggregators; governance of value spaces; alignment with FAIR, CARE and Traditional Knowledge Labels.
Event registration is free!
